Label Registryby Glint

Share certificate proof with retailers

Last review: 4 October 2026.

Scheme owners and certificate holders often send proof to retailers, brands or marketplaces before a third-party sustainability label appears on packaging or product pages. This guide describes what you can share from Label Registry today. It is not legal advice and Glint does not certify any label.

Sources:

1. Start with a stable public verify link

Retailers need a link that still works after you update internal records. Each certificate on Label Registry has a public verification URL (QR code and numbered page use the same data).

Share the absolute verify link from the certificate workspace or from the printable page. If you rotate the token, previously printed QR codes stop working until you send an updated link.

2. Only public claims and public evidence belong in a share pack

On the certificate workspace you choose which substantiation files are public on the certificate page and which stay private.

The retailer proof pack lists active claims, target markets with transposition badges where available, and public evidence only (kind, issuer, reference, validUntil). If private evidence exists, the pack shows a count but not the file details. Never paste private files into a retailer email without a separate contract.

Glint publishes Label Registry. Shared data describes what you recorded; it is not a statement that a label meets national law.

3. Germany and Austria consumer-facing label rules

When you market claims to consumers (B2C) in Germany or Austria, national transposition is verified on Label Registry for these countries only.

Germany (fact DE2) defines certification scheme criteria your published scheme self-check can reference. Germany (fact DE3) and Austria (fact AT3) blacklist certain sustainability labels in business-to-consumer situations when the label is not based on a certification scheme or not set by public authorities. Austria (fact AT1) confirms the amendment timeline for the same EmpCo package.

Confirm how these rules apply to your channels with your adviser. Other EU markets stay not verified until Label Registry documents a reviewed source.

4. Use the in-app retailer proof pack

After you sign in as a scheme owner or holder, open a certificate and choose **Retailer proof pack** next to the printable page. The print-friendly page lives at `/app/certificates/{certificateId}/retailer-pack` in your workspace. It repeats the verify link, public claims and links to the published scheme page (and scheme criteria self-check when answers are published).

You can also open the pack from a row in the claims matrix.
