Label Registryby Glint

EmpCo in force since 27 September 2026

Run your label end to end, with certificates anyone can verify.

One workspace to run your scheme, your registers and public verification for retailers.

Glint builds operational registries for European compliance. Software only: not a certification body, not a law firm, not a notified body. On Label Registry you decide, independent third parties monitor, and Label Registry records and publishes.

How it works

Six concrete steps from first draft to public certificate verification.

  1. 1

    Create your workspace

Owner organization, members and settings. Pick Scheme or Pro when you are ready to publish.

  2. 2

    Draft and publish the scheme

Versioned requirements, fees, governance and procedures in French and English. A content hash is stored at publication.

  3. 3

    Receive applications

Companies self-assess, upload evidence and track the file. You screen with your team.

  4. 4

    Assign a verifier

Panel of third-party bodies, legal separation checks, conflict-of-interest declaration before full file access.

  5. 5

    Decide and issue

Verifier recommendation, reasoned owner decision, numbered certificate and public status history.

  6. 6

    Public verification

Searchable registry, /verify page, QR and an embeddable live SVG badge. Retailers use the proof pack or scan without an account.

What you do in Label Registry

Each block maps to a real screen in the product, not a marketing promise.

Schemes and versions

Drafts, requirements, consultations, fees and publication with a frozen version.

You show applicants and regulators a credible, traceable EmpCo-style scheme.

See a public scheme

Draft, consult and publish a frozen scheme version.

Applications and evidence

Applicant portal, self-assessment per requirement, private files and status tracking.

You replace scattered emails and PDF folders with an auditable flow.

Browse published labels

Self-assessment, files and status in one applicant portal.

Panel and verifier seats

Invites, approval, competence records and assignments after conflict declaration.

You document independent monitoring without Glint acting as the certifier.

Create an owner workspace

Invite bodies, check separation, assign after conflict declaration.

Certificates, decisions and queues

Reasoned grant, suspend and withdraw with public history. The certificate register adds filters, summary tiles and CSV export. The renewal due queue adds the same for validity end dates. The compliance overview rolls up overdue surveillance, expiring certificates, open complaints and claim evidence gaps with links and CSV export.

Surveillance queue: filter by status and due window (overdue, 30 days, 90 days, later), status and bucket counters, CSV export, scoped to your organisation only.

You see what needs a decision or follow-up before holders or retailers notice.

See a public certificate

Decisions, register tiles and renewal queues on one screen.

Public verification and retailer pack

Searchable registry, JSON API on Pro, QR and /verify pages. The retailer proof pack shares embed code for a live SVG badge, registry links and scheme context.

Buyers and partners check status on your site or theirs without calling you.

Open verification page

Registry search, /verify pages and a live SVG badge embed.

Claims, markets and country evidence

Claims and markets matrix with gap filters, evidence renewals and the public EU transposition tracker in one place. Certificate holders see expiring claim evidence on the compliance overview next to certificate dates.

You connect on-pack claims to markets and sources you can show to retailers.

Open transposition tracker

Matrix view with gaps, renewals and transposition links.

Complaints and appeals register

Owner register for complaints and appeals with status filters, overdue highlights and CSV export.

You run intake and follow-up in one place instead of scattered inboxes.

View public complaint form

Complaints and appeals lists with filters and export.

EmpCo readiness and transposition

Article 2, point (r) questionnaire with gaps per criterion and action hints, plus the public EU transposition tracker for national implementation notes.

You prioritize work and see which member states are documented in the product.

A label without a certification scheme is no longer allowed

As of 27 September 2026, a private sustainability label must be based on a certification scheme: public terms, open and non-discriminatory access, requirements developed with stakeholders, suspension and withdrawal procedures, and monitoring by a third party independent from the owner and the trader. There is no transition period.

A multi-party registry, not a checklist

Every party gets its own workspace, permissions and audit trail.

Scheme owner

Publishes requirements, fees and governance, picks verifiers, takes decisions and handles complaints and appeals.

Verification body

Declares competence and no conflict of interest, reviews assigned files, records findings and issues a recommendation.

Applicant company

Completes the self-assessment criterion by criterion, uploads evidence, answers findings and tracks its status.

Public and retailers

Read the scheme terms, check a certificate by number or QR code, and file a complaint.

The four EmpCo criteria, built into the product

Directive (EU) 2024/825, Article 2, point (r). Label Registry helps you implement them and show it. This is not legal advice.

  1. i

    Open access

Access terms and fees published, identical for every applicant.

  2. ii

    Consulted requirements

Expert and stakeholder consultations recorded for every scheme version.

  3. iii

    Non-compliance

Published suspension and withdrawal procedures, reasoned and dated decisions.

  4. iv

    Independent monitoring

Third-party verifiers, legally separate from owner and trader, with proof of competence.

Who it is for, and who it is not

Built for you if

You own a private label (environmental, social or both) and must operate a certification scheme: public terms, applications, third-party verifiers, decisions and a registry.

It is not

A directory of every EU label, a certification body, an accreditation tool or legal advice. Glint is software only and does not replace your decisions or the verifier's monitoring role.

Product posture

  • Glint builds operational registries for European compliance. Label Registry runs on EU-facing infrastructure; you remain responsible for published content and decisions.
  • Public copy in French and English. Registry lookup and QR verification stay free for visitors.
  • Role separation in the product: owner, verifier, applicant and public. Audit trail for sensitive actions.

Other Glint registries

Separate products for adjacent compliance workflows. Same posture: software only, no certification role for Glint.

Product Registry

If you also manage packaging, GPSR complaints or supplier evidence for products placed on the market, Product Registry keeps that evidence in one operational registry.

Host Registry

Short-term rental hosts can document listing obligations, guest communications and local rules in a dedicated workspace.

Overage and public registry

On Pro, each active certificate above 500 is billed at €1 per month. The amount is shown in your workspace, then invoiced later.

Above 5 published schemes, the Custom plan applies. Scheme count is not metered per certificate on Scheme and Pro.

Public registry lookup and QR verification stay free for everyone, with no subscription.

Verification bodies can add auditor seats at €39 per month per auditor (in Billing).

Frequently asked questions

Is Pro the top plan?
No. Scheme and Pro fit most labels. Above 5 published schemes or for specific needs (network, contract, SSO), the Custom plan is quoted on request.
Why can I not publish on the Free plan?
Draft mode lets you build and preview. Publication and issuing certificates require Scheme or Pro, subscribed in Billing after you create the workspace.
Do verifiers pay?
Applicants and the public do not pay. Verification bodies can buy auditor seats (€39 per month per auditor) when they work across several labels.
How does QR verification work?
Each active certificate has a /verify page, QR code and optional live SVG badge for your site. Scanning or clicking opens public status without login. Rotating the public token invalidates old printed QRs and embeds.
Do I need English copy?
French is the source language. English is expected for public text: the EN page falls back to French with a flag when a translation is missing.
How is certificate overage calculated?
Only active certificates count. On Scheme the cap is 50; on Pro, 500. Each extra active certificate is €1 per month, shown in Label Registry before billing.
Is the public registry paid?
No. Anyone can browse published schemes, search certificates and verify a QR code without an account or subscription.
When to choose Custom?
Above five published schemes, large volumes or for contract and SSO. Email glintapps@proton.me for a quote. Certificate overage on Scheme and Pro stays €1 per active certificate per month.

Reminder: €1 per active certificate per month above the Pro cap (500). Displayed, billed later.
