EmpCo national transposition in the EU 27
Last review: 30 September 2026.
Directive (EU) 2024/825 applies from 27 September 2026. Member States transpose it into national law on different timelines. A country can show partial transposition while national implementing acts are still debated. France, for example, continues to align DDADUE and sector rules with EmpCo. This guide explains why national status matters for label owners. It is not legal advice.

Why transposition status matters
EmpCo sets EU-wide rules on environmental claims and sustainability labels. Enforcement and some procedural details still depend on national law. Before you rely on a label in a given market, check whether that Member State has transposed the directive and how local authorities describe compliance.
Live tracker on Label Registry
Glint publishes Label Registry. The transposition tracker lists each EU Member State with a status, links to official sources and the date we last reviewed them. It does not replace EUR-Lex or national gazettes.
